Dr. Agkop Avakian, after gaining a bachelor’sdegree in molecular biology at the State University of New York at Stony Brook,graduated with a medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicinein 1999. He received hisspecialization degree in Gastroenterology in Greece after having worked inmultiple hospitals in the UK as part of General Medicine and Gastroenterologyrotations.
He has been working in Dubai since 2014 and held head of the Departmentof Gastroenterology position at prestigious hospitals in Dubai.
His main area of interest are functional bowel disorders, liver diseases and bowel cancer prevention (screening colonoscopy and simple/complex colon polyp removal therapy).
